Y3 homework note
y3 had a supply teacher today and homework books were not given out. Please do the homework on paper if necessary and you can glue into your books next week. I know quite a few of you have your books at home from last week so there is no problem. On Monday mr Sandles will give out any books left in school. Thank you.

y3 homework 18/11/16 Mrs Williams
Spelling homework – use the spelling strategy sheet you have glued into your homework book. Choose a strategy you have already used but each week try a new one, to build up your bank of strategies to learn spellings. Remember you can also put the words into sentences so you understand the word and know how to use it.
Prefix – adding letter to the beginning of a word
Prefix – un
All groups to learn the first set of words beginning with un.
happy – unhappy
tidy – untidy
zip – unzip
tie – untie
fair – unfair
kind – unkind
Have you worked out what the prefix – un does to a word? What happens to the meaning?
***********************
Some of you need to be pushed even more so here are your words. Those in glas and coch need to look at these. However anyone can look at this next set but they are tricky!!!!
lucky – unlucky
usual – unusual
certain – uncertain
finished – unfinished
qualified – unqualified
reliable – unreliable
Can you record in your books what these words mean? Ask an adult, use a dictionary, do an online search with an adult. Any other ways you could find out?
Have a great weekend Year 3 – Mrs Williams

Homework books
A few of you have homework books left in the homework box in class. If you want to complete the homework this weekend, you can do so on paper or on a computer and stick it in next week. Or, complete the homework on a computer and email it to Mr Sandles SandlesR@hwbmail.net. Remeber to read your school book or use bugclub online this weekend, to score dojo points on Monday.
