year 3 homework 3/2/17
You have had time this afternoon to work on your research homework about woodland habitats and estuary/sandy habitats. Look back at previous posts about the homework and the websites we have given to you to help research the 2 habitats. You will probably need a family member to help you. Next week you will be sharing your research in class from your J2E. We also hope to go down to the estuary next week to study the habitat. Consent forms will be sent out to go into the local area.
In class we have discussed how the Loughor Town Council are thinking about opening the Old Town Hall andturning it into a coffee shop/meeting room . You have discussed this in class, thinking about the topic from different points of view.
At home ask different family members their opinion and a reason for it. Record their views and opinions in your homework book. Think about the positives, negatives, environmental effects, adults, children, people who work, people who stay at home, Casllwchwr, other businesses in Loughor.
Choose how you want to record in your homework book.
If you have not worked on the spelling from last week, words ending in y and changing to an i, you have extra time this week to work on them in your homework book. Look at previous posts.
Remember to bring in your Bug Club books next week as we want to check you are choosing the appropriate colour book. We will also be checking your books on Bug Club online to see how you have done with the Bug Club questions that are in each book. If you understand the text and answer most questions correctly we will move you onto the next colour.
In class you are working on times table targets, keep working on these at home. Remember J2Blast has games to develop your maths skills.
Any problems completing homework, remember you can go to Homework club on a Thursday with Mrs Jones. You will be able to use your ipad and go onto J2E or HWB.
Not all pupils had homework books to go home today , if they cannot be found at home can you please come into school to ask for a new book.
Thank you Mrs Williams
